The Affordable Housing Administrative Agent will be responsible for the administration of all affordable housing units within the municipality in accordance with the Fair Housing Act, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-301, et seq., the Uniform Housing Affordability Controls, N.J.A.C. 5:80-26.1 et seq., and all applicable Affordable Housing Regulations promulgated by the Council on Affordable Housing and Department of Community Affairs. The Affordable Housing Administrative Agent shall perform the duties and responsibilities of an administrative agent as set forth in the Uniform Housing Affordability Controls, N.J.A.C. 5:80-26.1 et seq., including, but not limited to, the following: 1. Affirmative Marketing; 2. Household Certification; 3. Affordability Controls; 4. Resale and Rental; 5. Processing Requests from Unit Owners; 6. Enforcement.

Affordable housing administrative agent: administrative oversight: manage the municipality’s affordable housing inventory for both for-sale and for-rent units. Technical assistance: offer support with compliance, including preparation of the midpoint review report, annual reports, and other technical assistance as requested. Affordability assistance program: design or review the township’s affordability assistance program, including the preparation of an operating manual and program implementation. Extension of controls: administer programs to extend affordability controls on expiring units. Market to affordable program: design and implement the township’s market to affordable program, including both for-sale and rental options. Housing rehabilitation: provide case management services for housing rehabilitation projects. Group homes program: support and manage affordable housing initiatives for group homes. Accessory apartment program: develop and implement accessory apartment programs to expand affordable housing options.
