Constructing a new 1,200 ft Lock for Lock and Dam 25. The new lock at Lock 25 will be constructed in the downstream direction in the auxiliary miter gate bay, which has minimum provisions for an adjacent 360-foot-long lock and is referred to as Location 3 in the System Feasibility Study (September 2004). This contract will consist of construction of a new 1,200-foot drilled shaft-founded lock in the auxiliary miter gate bay, a 1,200-foot upstream ported guard wall, and a 650-foot downstream guard wall. The existing 600-foot lock will remain in place and once the new lock is constructed and operational, will become an auxiliary lock chamber used primarily by recreation traffic or when the 1,200 ft lock is out of service.

Starved Rock Lock and Dam Boiler Replacement
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is seeking a contractor to replace the existing steam boiler at the Starved Rock Lock and Dam with a new Cleaver Brooks M5 steam boiler, along with a new Cleaver Brooks condensate return boiler feed system and an upgraded water filtration system. The contractor must supply all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to remove the old boiler, install the new boiler, and ensure full operational integration of the new systems. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will handle transportation and crane operations for moving the new boiler from land to the boiler house entrance.

Cannelton Lock and Dam - Culvert Valve Assemblies - (Request for Proposal)
Removal of two (2) culvert valve assemblies, fabrication and delivery of two (2) culvert valve assemblies, and installation of two (2) culvert valve assemblies located on the river wall of the main lock chamber (1200' chamber) at cannelton lock and dam, cannelton, indiana. A culvert valve assembly includes a strut arm, bell crank, culvert valve, pins, valve bearing block assemblies, and other ancillary items as shown on the plans. Items to be removed are highlighted in the plan set. Removal may include the disposal of the culvert valves. See spec 02 41 00 demolition and deconstruction for additional details. Work includes unwatering of the culvert valve chamber, maintaining the unwatered state throughout the duration of the culvert valve installation, and rewatering of the culvert valve chamber.
