The Omaha Public Power District Board of Directors authorized management to negotiate and enter into one or more Operating Plant Service Agreements with Siemens Energy, Inc. for the inspection, repair, and procurement of parts for Siemens' combustion turbines at Sarpy County, Cass County, and Turtle Creek Stations. This authorization, formalized by Resolution No. 6637 on March 19, 2024, waives sealed bid requirements based on an Engineer's Certification citing Siemens' proprietary information, technical complexity, and the public interest in reliably maintaining critical generating assets.
