Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies

WAFWA (Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies) is a regional association representing western U.S. states and Canadian provinces/territories, founded in 1922. It organizes annual meetings and collaborative events for state/provincial fish and wildlife agency directors, commissioners, and staff; publishes the Western Proceedings; and runs committees and working groups. It qualifies as a government/education conference organizer for state wildlife agencies but is specialized to fish and wildlife conservation rather than broad state government conferences (e.g., governors' conferences, legislatures, NASCIO).
