Northern Illinois University Center for Governmental Studies (NIU Center for Governmental Studies)

The Northern Illinois University Center for Governmental Studies (NIU CGS) is an association management and professional development center that administers and organizes conferences for local government practitioners. CGS manages the Illinois City/County Management Association (ILCMA) since 1974 and the Wisconsin City/County Management Association since 2013, running their winter and summer conferences. Beginning in 2024, CGS will also manage the National Association of County Administrators (NACA). CGS hosts and co-sponsors conferences such as the Illinois Financial Forecast Forum and provides comprehensive conference planning, registration, speaker selection, and program development services, which directly align with the user's intent to find county-administration conference organizers.
