National Conference on Child Abuse & Neglect

ACF's 25th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) will focus on the theme derived from ACF's "A Home for Every Child" initiative, aiming to ensure more foster homes are available than children needing care. The conference will share innovative and evidence-based practices to safely reduce children entering foster care and support family preservation. Sessions will offer learning opportunities from researchers, practitioners, and community members, fostering effective strategy development and inter-sectoral idea exchange. Held biennially since 1976, NCCAN is the only federally sponsored national conference dedicated to child maltreatment, serving as a premier training and technical assistance event for practitioners, policymakers, advocates, researchers, parents, and volunteers committed to child well-being.
