About this conference
The U.S. Naval Academy hosts an annual conference to bring policy makers and science advisors together with university faculty and students to discuss significant science and engineering challenges. The conference provides a forum to bring together the nation's future Navy and Marine Corps officers with their peers from other colleges and universities, both civilian and military, from across the country. Participants engage in discussion and research on some of the key scientific and technical challenges facing the nation and the world. The theme for NASEC 2026 is Strategic Competition. Attendees will hear from distinguished speakers on the main themes. Attendance is limited, and undergraduate students must be nominated by their college's Dean or President, with the nomination process typically occurring in September. NASEC is an in-person event, with no opportunity for virtual access.
