About this conference
NENA's annual 9-1-1 Goes to Washington (#NENAGTW) event brings hundreds of 9-1-1 professionals together with government leaders in the nation's capital to address pressing 9-1-1 and emergency communications issues. It is the only event where attendees learn about policy challenges and then take immediate action through dialogue with elected and appointed officials. The 2026 event is particularly pivotal for advocating for the reclassification of 9-1-1 telecommunicators as public-safety personnel.
