A motion was passed to approve the employment contract for the new treasurer. The strategic plan focuses on improving academic performance and attendance for all middle school students at Chaney Middle. Key goals include decreasing chronic absenteeism by 20.00%, increasing English Language Arts performance by 15.00% as measured by the State Report card, and increasing Math performance by 30.00% as measured by the State Report Card.

The Youngsttown City School District is implementing a district reconfiguration plan to strengthen educational offerings and ensure every student has a robust academic program, high-quality instruction, and a cohesive school identity, while using resources responsibly. Phase one involves uniting two traditional high schools and two traditional middle schools, maintaining the early college programs, and expanding career technical and college credit plus programs. The plan aims to address transportation challenges, reduce the district's footprint, and foster a united community.
