Woburn Housing Authority

The agenda for this regular meeting included the Executive Director's Report and Old Business. The meeting included discussion and resolutions regarding the adoption of new Fair Market Rents and Payment Standards for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Also discussed was the authorization for approval of an amendment to the Contract for Financial Assistance, and a contract with Site Improvements, Inc for the replacement of the main roadway and shop area. The meeting agenda also included a resolution to increase flat/ceiling rent for Federal Family Public Housing, and consideration of the date and location of the next meeting.

The meeting included discussion and resolutions regarding change order proposals with Seaver Construction for elevator and walkway construction, and retaining wall redesigns at 1 Library Place. A contract with Northeast Compactor & Baller LLC was considered for trash compactor replacement. The board also addressed an amendment to the contract for financial assistance, sole-source procurement for heat pumps, and the use of a senior housing authority maintenance worker and staff/resident representative for roofing and window projects on Nichols Street Extension.
