The structure is a 100,000 gallon double ellipse elevated water storage tank with an estimated low-water level of 110 ft. The work includes: Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system. Apply a polyurethane caulk to the roof lap seams. The cathodic protection system is to be removed and reinstalled by the Owner’s vendor (or approved equal), coordination and payment is the Contractor’s responsibility. Exterior: Low pressure water clean (3,500 to 5,000) to remove all mildew, dirt, and other contaminants. Repairs: 1) Replace the access tube manway gasket. 2)Replace the wet interior roof hatch. 3)Install a handhold at the access tube roof hatch. 4)Install bowl rigging couplings. 5)Install a chemical feed tap on the fill/draw pipe. 6)Install an expansion joint. 7)Overflow discharge modification. 8)Replace roof vent with a pressure vacuum vent. 9)Replace cathodic clips. 10)Install a roof handrail with a painter’s railing. 11)Adjust the loose sway rods. 12)Connect the aviation lights to the generator. 13)Replace the dry interior light bulbs.
