The Forest Service issued an active Special Notice of intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Fire Ignition Resources, LLC, for one refurbishment and an estimated five new SEI Industries Premo MK III aerial ignition plastic sphere dispensers. The equipment is intended for prescribed burning and wildfire incidents, and the notice cites compatibility with existing Forest Service systems, OEM support, safety, warranties, and operational continuity. Although the notice states that it is not a request for proposals or quotes, responsible sources may submit an offer and capabilities narrative by the response deadline for consideration of whether the requirement should be opened to competition.
