The Committee reviewed several curriculum updates, including approval of the US AP/UConn Government and Constitutional Studies/We the People Grade 12 curriculum guide and the US Government and Politics AP/UConn Grade 11-12 curriculum guide. Curriculum updates for Latin II ACP, Latin III ACP, and Italian IV ACP were also approved. A discussion regarding an AI student survey was tabled for a future meeting, as was the discussion of special June meeting dates.

The meeting featured reports from the Superintendent regarding capital projects, curriculum development, and human resources updates. The board discussed and acted upon the Hillcrest Phase II project. A motion was passed to accept the estimates dated June 16, 2026, and the construction documents dated May 19, 2026.

The Curriculum Committee reviewed and approved several updated curriculum guides for high school courses. The committee also reviewed updates to Fine Arts and Music curricula, specifically for Intermediate Ceramics, Piano 2, UConn ECE Pop Music, and the newly created Honors Wind Ensemble. Discussions focused on course requirements, enrollment strategies, and alignment with state and national educational standards.

The committee convened to address several project-related updates and administrative matters.
