Key focus areas include fostering belonging, strengthening family and community partnerships, integrating social-emotional learning, implementing high-quality curriculum, utilizing data-based instructional decisions and multi-tiered supports, establishing consistent early childhood experiences, and ensuring seamless secondary/post-school transitions. The plan aims to empower all differently-abled students to achieve equitable education, robust outcomes, and success in their academic and post-school lives.

The meeting included discussion on storm water improvements, paving project re-design, job satisfaction survey results, and RIASC school committee required professional development. Commended schools were recognized, and updates on the state budget were provided. The committee also discussed and approved a revised home school policy, an amendment to high school graduation requirements, and bid awards for Foss Science Kits. The Gap Closing Sub-committee presented recommendations, and committee members shared their comments.
