This Alternatives Analysis Report for the Paseo del Norte High-Capacity Transit Study evaluates and recommends a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) to address severe traffic congestion and growing travel demand in the Albuquerque metropolitan region. The plan focuses on expanding transit service, enhancing transportation capacity across the Rio Grande, improving connectivity between residential areas and employment centers, and developing cost-efficient infrastructure. The recommended LPA aims to establish a reliable and competitive transit option to attract riders from automobiles, alleviate congestion, and support long-term transit-oriented land use through 2035.
