Pevely, City of

The City of Pevely Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed 2025 real estate and personal property tax rate.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meetings covered a range of topics including citizen comments, approval of the agenda, discussion of unlicensed gaming machines, and updates to building codes. A special use permit was discussed and ultimately recommended for denial to be sent to the Board of Aldermen. The commission also discussed the Pevely Redevelopment District #2, building code updates, and member reports.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a special use permit request to allow a mobile home at 1719 Willow Oak Dr. The hearing is open to the public for questions and concerns.

The Tourism Board meeting included discussions on funding requests for the I-55 Raceway ($5,000) and Pevely Days 2021 ($11,500). A presentation was given by the Jefferson County Tourism Commission Board regarding their new website and the board's donation. The benefits of the funding for both the I-55 Raceway and Pevely Days were discussed.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a special use permit for a moving company at 8920 Commercial Blvd and a boundary adjustment to merge/divide multiple lots at 1620 State Road Z. The hearing is open to the public for questions and concerns.
