The City of Pevely's 2026 Comprehensive Plan outlines a long-range vision for the community, serving as a roadmap for development over the next 10 to 20 years. Structured around six key themes—Neighborhoods and Housing, Community Growth and Development, Transportation and Infrastructure, Parks and Recreation, Governance and Services, and Plan Implementation—the plan aims to transform Pevely into a premiere community by 2044. The vision includes enhanced public services, safe and walkable neighborhoods, diverse housing, strong economic corridors, and accessible recreational opportunities, fostering a high quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The board meeting included public comments regarding a noise ordinance, parking, and municipal accountability. Key legislative actions included the adoption of a new city code of ordinances and an amendment to the municipal code regarding court costs. The board approved a contract with T.C.M. Tree Service LLC for tree removal and granted a firework stand permit to Meramec Specialty Company. Additionally, administrative updates were provided regarding the city's code of conduct and sunshine request compliance.

The board meeting included a review of citizen concerns regarding visibility issues caused by streetlights and hedges. New police officers were sworn in, and various board liaisons for the Planning and Zoning Commission, Tourism Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Police Personnel Board were appointed or tabled. Resolution 2026/007, focusing on public safety and the reduction of violent crime, was read and approved. Additionally, discussions were held regarding administrative reports, including police officer activities and municipal projects like the autism car show and local highway infrastructure updates.

The City of Pevely Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed 2025 real estate and personal property tax rate.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meetings covered a range of topics including citizen comments, approval of the agenda, discussion of unlicensed gaming machines, and updates to building codes. A special use permit was discussed and ultimately recommended for denial to be sent to the Board of Aldermen. The commission also discussed the Pevely Redevelopment District #2, building code updates, and member reports.
