DESIGN-BID-BUILD - the utility plant houses three centrifugal chillers that provided chilled water for cooling to nearly every building on campus. The design team should evaluate all systems and capacities for the new design. The intent of this project will replace the oldest 1,000-ton chiller with a slightly larger and more efficient 1,200-ton chiller. Provide energy modeling to verify system will meet current and future campus needs and assist in rebates to maximize available rebates. Review the feasibility of updating or replacing the section of switchgear that feeds these services with a fusible section of switchgear that will hold appropriately sized amp fuses. Review the feasibility of replacement or rerouting the sanitary sewer that is plugged due to pipe corrosion under the boiler plant that will not drain properly. The project will be constructed in one phase.
