Providing fiber optic-based internet communications services to the tribal homes. The proposed design calls for traditional fiber placement utilizing a mix of both aerial and underground along with MST (multiport fiber terminals) for the drops. The design will have (3) layers: feeder, distribution, and drop. In addition, a diverse backhaul layer will provide transport to the ethernet switches. The project will be placing 144 fiber cable as the distribution layer for both aerial and the underground. In the underground placement the 144 fiber cable will be pulled in one of the 2-2" HDPE conduits that will be directionally bored, trenched, or plowed in the existing easement. In the aerial placement the 144 fiber cable will be lashed on a strand placed in this project. The distribution fiber will feed 4 or 8 or 12 port MSTs both aerial and underground. The drop cables will originate from these MSTs. The distribution trench footage as planned is 31,418' (5.95 miles). The distribution aerial footage as planned is 86,425' (16,37 miles).
