Procurement guidance and navigation tips.
Lower scores indicate easier procurement processes. Created by Starbridge.
Sole Source: LCCC avoids sole source—redirect to a cooperative contract.
Coops: Lead with IUC-PG or Ohio State Term contracts. Register with LCCC, list your co-op contracts, confirm Purchasing can access, and frame as pre-competed. If no relevant coop: Expect competitive process—3 written quotes over $25,000; formal, advertised bid over $50,000; Ohio-based preference in tie-breakers.
Lorain County Community College avoids sole source procurement; there’s no evidence of direct awards. The only non-competitive awards are state-directed Joint Use Agreements, which are not accessible to most vendors.
