Kitimat-Stikine Regional District

The bylaw establishes a service to provide fire protection within a portion of Electoral Area B, including fire prevention, suppression, mutual aid, first response to medical emergencies, ambulance assistance, rescue, hazardous material response, and public service. The service area is designated as the 'South Hazelton Fire Protection Service Area'. The annual cost of providing the service will be recovered through property value taxes, fees, charges, and other revenues, with a maximum annual requisition of $60,000 or $6.00/$1,000 of net taxable value.

The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine's Water Conservation Plan aims to establish a framework for influencing water demands over the next 10 years. It focuses on achieving a 25% reduction in water demand to alleviate stress on the drinking water infrastructure.
