Jean Lafitte, Town of

The council adopted two zoning ordinances: one approving the permitted use of a parking lot and another rezoning a property from commercial to residential use. Additionally, the council passed resolutions regarding the auction of town police vehicles, the approval of a security system for the Louisiana Wetland Education Center, the authorization of the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival, a recommendation for a Levee Board Commissioner appointment, the approval of a security system for the municipal warehouse and safehouse, and the town's participation in the Love the Boot Week community clean-up event.

The Rosethorne Booster Club Homecoming Parade was approved. Kerry Najolia was approved as a Reserve Police Officer. The council adopted an ordinance approving the plan of resubdivision of Lot 4, Rosethorne Subdivision, and an ordinance establishing a salary for the Town Clerk. A presentation was made to the council to rezone a piece of property.
