The superintendent's recommendations were approved, including personnel changes. A discussion on 10-year planning was also held.

The meeting covered several key areas, including curriculum and instruction updates, class size and staffing needs, a review of the FY18 Five Year History and 2017 Tax Levy, Ephesus redistricting plans, and a review of the Local School Board Annual Training Report. Discussions also included a review of maintenance and inspection records, a Hurricane/Tropical Storm Report, and options for a football scoreboard. Personnel decisions included approvals for classified and certified positions, and the resignation of a classified employee was noted. The meeting also included approvals for a Class Size Resolution and fundraising requests.

The meeting covered updates on instructional technology, writing assessments, leadership development, special education, school news articles, policies related to drug-free workplaces and animals on campus, the school psychologist position, facilities, projects, transportation, and technology. Information was shared on end-of-year activity plans, an OCR complaint, and procedures for a tribunal appeal. A quote for ADA-compliant playground equipment was reviewed. Resignations were approved for Jennifer Collett and Joleen Allen. An executive session was held to discuss personnel, but no action was taken.
