Hazleton City Housing Authority

The Hazleton Housing Authority (HHA) provides affordable, decent, and sanitary housing opportunities to low and moderate-income families, including elderly and disabled persons, while supporting programs for economic self-sufficiency and personal growth. The plan addresses the significant need for low-income housing assistance and quality housing units through its Section 8 program. Key strategies include achieving 100 percent lease-up, effectively serving clients, adhering to applicable HUD regulations and federal legislation, and achieving attainable goals in the simplest, most cost-effective manner.

The meeting included discussions and approvals regarding various reports, including the Treasury Report, Delinquency, Occupancy & Section 8 Report, and the Executive Director's Report. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor's Report was reviewed and accepted. The board addressed new business, including Resolution #1408 to accept the resignation of Robert Kotsur and Resolution #1409 to promote a Utility Worker to Maintenance Mechanic. An executive session was held to discuss property acquisition.
