Hanley International Academy

The meeting included discussion of the MAPSA Campaign letter, Fairness First Resolution, GVSU Advisory Council, School Performance Report, and Board Track Symposium. The Romine Group/Principal's Report included updates on enrollment, the Scholastic Book Fair, MSTEP / NWEA PD, the TRG Christmas Party, and facility issues such as bathroom sinks and the roof. The board also discussed and approved board policy updates and budget amendments.

The strategic plan focuses on improving academic proficiency across multiple subjects, including Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. The goals aim to increase grade-level proficiency scores by specific percentages, utilizing strategies such as direct instruction, data-based decision-making, MTSS framework, instructional technology, tutoring, and personalized learning environments. The plan includes activities such as curriculum evaluation, professional development, supplemental resources, and interventions to support students and teachers in achieving the set targets by the specified completion dates.
