Wallace Community College's strategic plan focuses on several key goals and outcomes for student achievement. These include increasing fall-to-fall retention rates to 75% among students in all programs, achieving and maintaining pass rates above state and/or national averages on licensure and certification exams, and increasing the graduation rate to 33% through improved retention and reverse transfer degree awards. Additionally, the plan aims to maintain course success rates of 70% for the Top 10 Enrollment Courses each semester, ensure WCC transfer students perform at or above the level of other transfer students at 4-year institutions, and ensure WCC graduates find employment in their field of study, meeting target thresholds set by Perkins IV Act performance levels.

The 2021-2026 Strategic Plan for Wallace Community College-Dothan focuses on four strategic initiatives: Student Success and Completion, Workforce Development, Infrastructure, and Financial Resources. The plan uses a data-driven approach, incorporating learning analytics and big data to measure progress toward goals and targets. Key areas of focus include improving student recruitment and admissions, enhancing student services, increasing student success and completion rates, providing professional development opportunities for employees, improving communication systems, expanding workforce development programs, upgrading infrastructure, and ensuring fiscal soundness. The plan aims to enhance the college's role as a leading community college, nationally recognized for excellence and innovation in education and student success, and to strengthen its partnerships with area schools, businesses, and government agencies to promote economic development and quality of life in the region.
