Fulton County Center for Career and Technology

This Comprehensive Plan serves as a strategic roadmap for the Fulton County Center for Career and Technology, focusing on developing lifelong learners equipped for higher education and competitive careers through high-quality technical education. Key priorities include improving student attendance and increasing enrollment across programs. The plan emphasizes fostering career readiness, academic excellence, and strong community partnerships, alongside a commitment to continuous instructional improvement, leadership development, student-centered support systems, and professional learning.

The meeting included discussions and actions on several key areas. Approval was sought for business manager assistance, the resignation of a Computer Networking Systems Instructor, advertising for a new instructor, and stipends for each Superintendent. The Drafting & Design program was put on probation for the 2025-2026 school year due to low enrollment. Additionally, approval was sought for substitutes and the Act-44 School Safety & Security update for FCCCT.

The meeting included discussions and approvals for various budget and finance items, such as appointing F&M Trust as a depository, approving bank account signers, retaining Beard Legal Group as Solicitor and Robert Snyder, JR as Insurance Broker. Also, the meeting addressed salaries, wages, and stipends for multiple positions for both the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years. Additionally, the committee discussed personnel matters, including business manager assistance, contract renewals, substitutes, a CNS instructor, NOCTI evaluators, and a PBIS coordinator. Lastly, approval was sought for field trips for the CNS/MIS program.

The meeting included updates on the FCCCT and its programs, with recognition for receiving 1st place in the Float Category of the FFFF parade. A grant application for new items in the Automotive Technology Program was discussed. Members reviewed current FCCCT pre-nocti scores and plans for a student survey to be presented at the December 2023 meeting. The board approved the resignation of the CNA Instructor and the hiring of a new CNA Instructor and a cleaning service. Approvals were also granted to offer Winter 2023/2024 and Spring 2024 Adult CNA courses, to remain with Beard Legal Group, for the 2023-2024 field trips, for conferences, for the Memorandum of Understanding with Penn College, and for the 2023-2024 Occupational Advisory Committee Membership.
