The key discussion topic of the meeting was the Team of Eight Board Training, which was conducted by Wayne Blount from the Region 17 Education Service Center. The meeting was called to order at the beginning of the session and adjourned at the end.

The meeting addressed several key areas. Consent items approved included the setting of the March Board Meeting date, review of January 2026 bills, confirmation of personnel resignations, and several resolutions pertaining to the May 2, 2026 Joint Election with the City of Floydada and Caprock Hospital District, as well as election services with Floyd County. The Board conducted a Public Hearing and subsequently approved the Academic Performance Report for 2024-2025 and the 2026-2027 School Calendar. An amendment to the 2025-2026 budget was approved. The consideration for the creation of a Volleyball Program was tabled. Approval was granted for the purchase of laptops for the secondary campus. Following a closed session regarding administrators' contracts and salaries for the period July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2028, the Board approved those contracts and salaries.
