This document outlines a District Improvement Plan for the 2022-2023 academic year. It includes a Continuous Improvement Diagnostic, Executive Summary, Needs Assessment Diagnostic, District Assurances, a Comprehensive District Improvement Plan, Superintendent Gap Assurances, and a Professional Development Plan, all designed to guide and support district-wide improvements.

The school improvement plan focuses on improving student performance in reading, mathematics, science, social studies, and writing. The plan addresses achievement gaps, English learner progress, and the quality of school climate and safety. The plan includes strategies such as curriculum assessment, professional development, and data analysis to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.

The Floyd County Board of Education held a special called meeting to consider and adopt a tentative budget for the 2010-2011 school year. The tentative budget included estimates of anticipated revenues and expenditures based on current staffing, contractual costs, plant operation and maintenance, information from the Kentucky Department of Education, SBDM allocations, funding awards, property tax revenues, and a contingency.

The meeting addressed various topics including student achievements, community comments, and reports on student learning and support. Key actions included approving a MOA agreement for the "Race to the Top" initiative, personnel actions (hirings, transfers, retirements, and leaves of absence), and various financial matters such as bill payments and budget revisions. The board also considered and approved several contracts, facility requests, and student trip requests, along with the rejection and rebidding of certain contracts. An executive session was held to discuss litigation, property, personnel, and expulsions.

The meeting addressed student learning, including attendance reports and make-up time for the 2009-2010 school year, and the approval of the 2010-2011 school calendar. Student support was discussed, including a superintendent's report and utility report for Osborne Elementary School. Numerous consent agenda items were considered, including payments of bills and claims, personnel actions (leaves of absence, retirements, hirings, transfers, and resignations), advertising for sealed bids for various supplies and services, and approval of several student trips. An executive session was held to discuss litigation, property, personnel, and expulsions.
