Key goals include involving parents in their children's education, educating the community about viable programs for child success, providing instructional awareness of parenting skills to increase student achievement, offering opportunities to help children experiencing academic difficulty, and providing Family Literacy opportunities for school success and economic self-sufficiency. The overarching vision is for parents to become full partners in their children's education, assisting them in reaching their full potential.

The Effingham County Board of Education announced its intention to increase the 2025 property taxes by 25.85 percent over the rollback millage rate. The revised budget requires a millage rate higher than the rollback millage rate, and Georgia law requires three public hearings to allow public input on the increase.
