The Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division aims to excel as a criminal justice leader, ensuring a safe Missouri through law enforcement and service provision, guided by core values of integrity, responsibility, respect, professionalism, compassion, resourcefulness, character, and commitment. Key initiatives for 2015 and beyond include upgrading the AFIS system to MorphoBIS for enhanced speed and accuracy, implementing upper palm capture for FBI compliance, improving Livescan device capabilities, and expanding training modules. The division also plans to conduct comprehensive policy compliance audits for N-DEx access and introduce new NIBRS offense codes for animal cruelty, cybercrime, and domestic violence data by 2016.
