The Consolidated Plan for the City of Fort Worth is a strategic document developed in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations. It serves as a roadmap for improving the quality of life for low- to moderate-income individuals and neighborhoods over a five-year period. Key priorities include preserving aging housing stock, improving accessibility of public and private spaces, fostering economic empowerment and financial resilience, promoting affordable housing for renters and owners, providing training and mentorship for children and youth, supporting aging-in-place programs, targeted neighborhood revitalization, homelessness prevention and special needs support, and promoting healthy living and wellness. The plan aims to leverage collective resources and expertise to maximize positive community impact, providing services and programming to residents through HUD grant funds.

The agenda includes several action items related to the authorization of applications for and acceptance of Fiscal Year 2026 Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Airport Infrastructure Grants for pavement improvements, runway reconstruction, taxiway construction, and lighting projects at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, and Fort Worth Spinks Airport. Additionally, the board will consider amendments to the Aviation Advisory Board Rules of Procedure to comply with HB1522 regarding agenda posting deadlines and locations. The meeting also features staff reports for the three airports and time for citizens' presentations.

The Zoning Commission addressed several zoning change requests and land use applications. Actions included recommendations for approval or denial regarding planned development sites, commercial transitions, and residential reclassifications across various districts. Additionally, the commission discussed a comprehensive text amendment concerning residential and mixed-use regulations and considered proposals for floodplain district updates. Several specific cases were moved forward with conditions, while others were continued to future sessions or withdrawn by applicants.

The board met to consider new design review cases. For 309 West 7th Street, the request included a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a valet lane and drop-off zone, as well as waivers for street tree and sidewalk width requirements. For 1305 Waterman Street, the request included a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a new single-family home and multiple waivers regarding building height, massing, orientation, setbacks, building materials, and sidewalk dimensions.
