Waukesha County Library Services Plan 2027-2031
The Waukesha County Library Services Plan 2027-2031 provides a framework to encourage public libraries to deliver a continued standard of excellence for all residents while addressing fiscal realities. The plan outlines a new County Funding Distribution Formula and revises Minimums to Exempt standards, reducing requirements for materials expenditures, FTE, collection size, and public computers, while maintaining those for hours, Wi-Fi, and quality assurance. It also addresses county funding collection, library establishment, relationships with other entities regarding service, the CAFÉ shared automation system, and regional library system membership. The strategic direction aims to reinforce a strong foundation of community and lifelong learning through efficient and collaborative library services, ensuring quality and accessibility for Waukesha County citizens.

Board of Review Draft Minutes
The Board of Review convened to address a property tax assessment objection for an assisted living facility. The discussion centered on competing valuation methodologies, specifically comparing the sales comparison approach supported by the assessor against the income and cost approaches proposed by the objector. The Board examined concerns regarding appraisal discrepancies and the evidentiary burden required to challenge an existing assessment. Following deliberation, the Board concluded that the objector did not provide sufficient evidence to rebut the presumption of correctness associated with the assessor's valuation, and formally voted to sustain the original assessment.
