The board convened for a special meeting to deliberate on matters related to collective bargaining, as well as discussions concerning professional character and competence. A motion to enter into an executive session for these purposes was proposed, seconded, and passed via a roll call vote.

The meeting included various student achievements and academic updates, such as the announcement of Sterling Scholar finalists, debate team successes, SkillsUSA achievements, DECA qualifications, and dance choreography awards. The session also focused on strategies for supporting seniors, including completing non-test ACT information and the importance of teacher-led mentorship for at-risk students. Additionally, a presentation was given on the significance of fostering strong student-teacher relationships to improve educational outcomes.

The faculty meeting included a welcome for new staff members, announcements regarding school communication displays, and faculty morale initiatives. Technical discussions covered troubleshooting Chromebook connectivity, student password management protocols, and the use of classroom management software. Additionally, staff were provided with updates on attendance procedures, school security measures regarding vaping, and information on upcoming professional development training on proficiency-based grading.

The meeting provided an overview of the West Kearns Elementary school construction project. Topics included the project timeline, the design plan for the new school building, and the planned use of a temporary school location at Ochre Hills Elementary during the construction phase to ensure student safety and efficiency. The superintendent addressed questions regarding transportation, school identity, and the district-wide approach to population decline and potential school closures.

The board session included a performance by elementary students highlighting landforms and science concepts, recognition of PTA and community leadership, and a good news minute segment where board members shared student achievements, school improvements, and community engagement successes. Additionally, the superintendent recognized a state senator for their legislative support of public education.
