The Board of Commissioners discussed various administrative and municipal matters. Key topics included the presentation of proclamations for World Changers Week, the recognition of new city employees, and a presentation on the HLI Crosswalk Painting project. The Board held a public hearing regarding the use of Municipal Road Aid and LGEA funds for road maintenance. Resolutions and municipal orders were addressed concerning HR reports, the emergency operations plan, occupational license fee rebates, and various grants for fire response, crumb rubber surfacing for parks, and blue light emergency poles. The meeting also covered the acceptance of public improvements, adoption of budget ordinances for the Henderson Water Utility, and construction change orders for the sports complex.

The joint work session focused on the prioritization of projects outlined in the Parks Master Plan. Participants from both boards identified key project preferences, including infrastructure for pickleball, aquatic centers, trail connectivity, playground improvements, and veterans' memorial enhancements. City management outlined subsequent operational steps, which include securing design funds for specific projects, executing traffic studies, implementing ADA accessibility upgrades, developing preventative maintenance plans, and revising reservation policies.

The Board of Commissioners conducted an executive session to deliberate on the future acquisition of real property in the area of I-69, Barrett Blvd., and Highway 60 East, as well as to discuss the potential siting of a business. Following the executive session, the meeting was reconvened and subsequently adjourned.

The meeting included a community spotlight and a presentation on an inner-city summer event. Key resolutions and orders were approved regarding the Human Resources report, a partnership grant for an emergency safety pole in Anthony Brooks Park, an amendment to the employee manual, and a memorandum of understanding for a fire science pathway program with local schools.

The Board of Commissioners held a work session to discuss the Inner City Improvement Plan (ICIP) process changes for the year 2026. Key topics included an overview of the program's mission and vision, the restructuring of six teams into five—Business, Entertainment, Health, Housing, and Transportation—to better facilitate the proposal and implementation of neighborhood projects. Each team was assigned specific project goals and identified local issues, such as business development, youth programming, public health accessibility, housing renovation, and transportation safety improvements, including crosswalks and emergency safety poles.
