The plan includes the development of a unified network using base nodes, enhanced nodes, and trail hubs to improve connectivity, accessibility, and economic activation. Additionally, the presentation covered specific infrastructure improvement strategies for corridors like South Palm Avenue and South Street, as well as a proposed five-year approach for project funding and implementation.

The Commission discussed amendments to the urban forest management plan, including funding and line-item designations. Members addressed public concerns regarding sewage inspections, stormwater management, and infrastructure maintenance. Additionally, the committee reviewed the comprehensive plan evaluation and appraisal report, adjusting policies to align with state requirements regarding restrictive and burdensome regulations.
