This Strategic Plan serves as a blueprint for the City of Yuba City's shared future, encapsulating its vision as 'one community, endless possibilities, a place to call home'. The plan is structured around five key strategic focus areas: Workforce Excellence, Infrastructure, Safe Communities, Economic Development, and Fiscal Responsibility. It aims to create safer streets, foster thriving economies, and build a community where all residents can flourish.

The segment covered the public communication portion of the meeting, specifically for items listed on the agenda. Members of the public addressing the council were encouraged to limit their statements to three minutes regarding items within the city's jurisdiction.

The key discussion point of this segment involved the administration of the oath of office to newly elected council members, specifically John Bucklet and Stan Cleveland Jr., followed by the administration of the oath to I Prett Ball. This process confirmed their commitment to supporting and defending the Constitutions of the United States and the State of California.

Proposed schedule adjustments included setting the budget study session for May 26th (the day after Memorial Day) and canceling the first meeting in July to allow better scheduling during the summer. Other dates reserved included August 4th for National Night Out and December 1st for swearing-in ceremonies. The motion to approve the proposed calendar was seconded and carried.
