The council conducted a work session to review the agenda for the regular council meeting and discuss general city business.

The council reviewed the monthly financial report, conducted the first reading of an ordinance regarding golf carts, and considered the 2026-2027 budget calendar. Resolutions were approved authorizing voting delegates to the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia and Electric Cities of Georgia, and confirming compliance with the Open Meetings Law. Additionally, a presentation was provided regarding the city's bond rating, followed by the city manager's report, public comments, council reports, and an executive session concerning litigation and personnel.

The meeting included a review of the 2024 goals and the planning and execution of strategic planning on January 13.
