The council reviewed the draft of the FY 2014/2015 Water & Sewer Fund Budget. There were also department head and staff reports.

They also authorized a proposal for an ash tree removal program and an intergovernmental agreement with Marengo and Riley Townships regarding Pace Dial-A-Ride. Reports were given by department heads and staff, including updates on the Wastewater department, the Marengo Police Pension Fund, the Prospect Street Project, and the wastewater treatment plant. The possibility of a continuous sidewalk on the North side of Route 20 was also discussed.

A bid from Trine Construction Corporation for a water main replacement project was accepted, and an amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teamsters Local 700 was approved. A resolution was passed to not pursue additional access on Route 23 between Coon Creek Road and Harmony Road.
