The Council reviewed and approved several bylaws, including amendments to the Public Sewers By-law and various Land Use By-laws concerning rezoning in Pugwash, Springhill, and Southampton. Staff were directed to investigate permitting for mobile food vendors, and the Council determined it had no interest in acquiring specific surplus school properties. A financial request from the River Philip Foundation regarding fund disbursement was also approved.

The committee meeting addressed the 2026 audit plan, which will cover the municipality of the county of Cumberland and Cumberland Senior Care Corporation, with a materiality set at one million dollars. Key areas of focus include revenue completeness, manual journal entry controls, and financial statement presentation. Additionally, the committee reviewed the Q4 2025-2026 financial report, which showed a surplus compared to the budget, and discussed tax and water collection reports, noting progress in the collection of receivables.
