Caltrans is developing a Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP) for State Route 99 (SR 99) from Bakersfield to Sacramento. This plan aims to address growing safety, access, and traffic demands along the crucial corridor by considering transportation trends, emerging technologies, community needs, and state and local policies. It will guide future corridor decisions, enhance multimodal opportunities, and foster regional competitiveness for federal and state funding through robust analysis and agency coordination, incorporating input from partners, local agencies, and corridor users.

The meeting included a presentation by the Mayor regarding participation in the Bloomberg Mayor's Challenge to foster civic innovation and transform city government operations. There was also a recognition ceremony for long-time martial arts instructors for their service to the community, and an update regarding the summer STEPS internship program, including an overview of the digital badge system and intern experiences.
