The board reviewed and approved the Quality Improvement and Performance Management Plan, which utilizes the PDCA model to guide organizational improvement and sets goals for tracking progress. Additionally, a presentation on Corporate Compliance training covered requirements from the Office of Medicaid Inspector General regarding fraud detection and auditing processes. The meeting included departmental reports on health education campaigns, environmental health inspections, nursing clinic transitions, and updates on the Children with Special Needs program.

The meeting included a presentation by Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services regarding their services in Cortland. Discussion topics covered the impacts of the cancellation and reversal of a SAMHSA grant, as well as new requirements for benefit eligibility. Community partner updates were provided, highlighting the upcoming Mental Health Awareness walk, approval of an integrated supportive housing project, status updates on the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center mental health area, Department of Social Services administrative restructuring, the opening of the Grace Space day center, and school-based resource fair planning. Additionally, the Director's report and a monthly corporate compliance report were addressed.

The board reviewed several key items including a presentation on tick and tick-borne illness awareness, division reports from Health Education, Environmental Health, Nursing Clinic, and Children with Special Needs, as well as a discussion regarding credentialing and the July recess.
