The City of Coweta Comprehensive Plan provides a strategic framework for guiding the city's future growth and development. It focuses on several key areas including regional location and transportation, current and proposed land use and zoning up to 2030, public facilities, school districts, and essential infrastructure such as water, sewer, and street improvements. The plan also considers traffic patterns, existing subdivisions, parks, recreation, and analyzes development constraints, including environmental factors and soil limitations, to ensure sustainable urban expansion.

This Comprehensive Plan updates the existing 1994-2020 plan for the City of Coweta, focusing on managing an anticipated significant growth surge, primarily driven by a planned Muskogee Turnpike Interchange. The plan outlines recommendations across various sectors including Land Use, Economic Development, Annexation, Roadway Improvements, Parks and Recreation, and Public Health. Its strategic direction is guided by three primary goals: Growth Management, Community Image, and Infrastructure, Programs and Services, with the objective of accommodating a projected population increase to 25,000 by 2030 while maintaining community character and ensuring sustainable development.

The meeting included consideration of a professional services agreement with Cowan Group Engineering, LLC for construction administration and inspection services pertaining to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project. An affirmation of the Trust Manager's emergency expenditure for the replacement and repair of a sanitary sewer line was also discussed.

The meeting included discussion and action on the adoption of Resolution 2024-16, which involves amendments to the annual appropriations for the budget of the Coweta Public Works Authority for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. Additionally, the approval of the bid award to American Waste Control, Inc. for solid waste and recycling collection, removal, and disposal services was discussed, contingent upon the execution of an agreement approved by the Trust Manager and City Attorney.

The meeting included a discussion and possible action regarding the 2024 Coweta Patriotic Festival. The board approved a joint fireworks display with Haskell on June 29th, 2024, based on budgetary needs for the Police Department, Fire Department, and any additional needs or expenses.
