Meadville City Council Regular Meeting
The council meeting addressed several legislative and community development items. Key discussions included a zoning amendment proposal to allow short-term rentals in the central business district to support downtown redevelopment and address lodging shortages, the introduction and approval of a manufactured home parks maintenance ordinance, and the establishment of requirements for boarding occupied properties. Additionally, the council voted to designate the city's redevelopment authority as a land bank to act as an anti-blight tool. Plans for public education and outreach regarding these new initiatives were also discussed.
