Rio Rancho Public Schools Board of Education Regular Meeting
The Board discussed the Intel Reading Challenge winners and received reports regarding the Excellence in Special Education Cross-Functional Team and the New Mexico Vistas school accountability model. Business matters included the proposal to rename the high school track the Sal Gonzales Track & Field Facility, approval of a capital outlay grant agreement for school bus replacement, and an application for facilities master plan funding assistance. The Board also conducted first and second readings of proposed revisions to district policies concerning the district mission, organization, and board member training. An executive session was held to evaluate the superintendent.
