Board of Trustees of Cultural Arts Academy Charter School Public Hearing
The public hearing was held to review and seek public input for federal funding allocations for ESSER III (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Funds). The allocations are based on school needs assessments integrated into CAAC's continuous improvement model. The ESSER III grant fund allocations are being considered for expanded summer school and after school programs, technology for students and teachers, professional development and trainings for instructional staff, health and safety protocols and equipment, inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, replacement, and upgrade projects in school facilities including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, and instructional materials to support programs and services.

Cultural Arts Academy Charter School ESSER III Plan 2021-2024
This document outlines the Cultural Arts Academy Charter School's plan for the use of ESSER III funds. It details four required domains: health and safety related to COVID-19, a 20% set-aside to address the academic impact of lost instructional time, a plan for the remainder of funds, and interventions for academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of all students, especially those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The plan also addresses the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services, focusing on areas such as accelerated instruction, social-emotional well-being, information technology, transportation, and special populations.
