Key strategies include promoting healthy lifestyles, integrating social-emotional learning, providing access to high-quality instruction and standards-based content, and developing schoolwide strategies to encourage skill application in real-world settings. The plan emphasizes removing barriers to success for all students and working towards the Portrait of a Graduate traits. Progress is monitored through various measures, including student participation in co-curricular activities, behavior data, course requests, and participation in applied learning experiences. The plan is closely tied to the district's Strategic Plan, allowing for simultaneous monitoring of progress.

The 2020-2025 Instructional Technology Plan for Rutland City Schools focuses on student-centered personalized learning. Key areas include creating technology-rich learning opportunities across all content areas and grade levels, broadening access to assistive technology and supportive learning tools, integrating digital citizenship resources into instruction, incorporating computer science and technology education, and designing personalized learning plans and experiences. The Policy Committee meeting will focus on reviewing and discussing group norms, and policies in the 7000 series (Attendance, Truancy, Age of Entrance, Pupil Proof of Age, and Student Placement). An update on the 6420 Leave of Absence Policy will also be provided, along with discussion of other policies. The next committee meeting date will be set.
