Discussion items included a 360 data review of the Clark Street Community School, a positive report on substitute teacher coverage, a district sustainability update regarding energy projects, an increase in student enrollment, and planning for a non-recurring operational referendum. The board approved district academic standards, additional 4K open enrollment seats, a revised school resource officer contract, bus purchases, and an independent hearing officer.

The committee reviewed the 2026-27 budget updates and the associated budget development timeline. Additionally, participants engaged in a discussion regarding potential scenarios for an operational referendum and reviewed the May Treasurer's report.

The document outlines the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District's Future-Preparedness Framework, known as 'A Cardinal's Journey.' This framework serves as a guide for student success, equipping them with essential knowledge, skills, and mindsets. It is grounded in the 'Cardinal Mindset' (Curious, Community-Oriented, Self-Aware, Accountable) and strengthened by 'Cardinal Foundations' (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, and Adaptability). The plan aims to ensure students graduate as confident, capable, and future-ready individuals prepared to innovate, contribute, and succeed in their communities and beyond.
