Pleasantville City Council Meeting
The Council conducted a public hearing on proposed amendments to zoning regulations regarding accessory structures. Departmental reports were provided on property maintenance, drainage and flooding mitigation, youth sports registration, and library programming. The Council addressed a request concerning property maintenance and street resurfacing, and discussed sewer system inspections. Legislative actions included the first reading of ordinances pertaining to accessory structures and a new water conservation plan, as well as the approval of a street closure for a community event. Additionally, the Council tabled an asphalt overlay quote, resolved to terminate the water supply contract with Marion County Rural Water due to treatment plant capacity issues, and appointed a new city attorney.
