The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing regarding a rezoning request for properties on Airport Road to allow for a duplex development, which was ultimately denied due to density concerns and neighborhood opposition. Additionally, the commission held a quasi-judicial evidentiary hearing for a special use permit regarding a proposed 108-unit apartment complex on Union Road. The discussion for the latter involved site plans, compatibility with surrounding land use, floodplain considerations, and required infrastructure improvements.

Historic District Commission Meeting
The commission reviewed multiple applications for certificates of appropriateness. One application involved enclosing a front porch at a commercial property in the Brookwood district, which was approved. Another application concerned the after-the-fact removal of a chimney at a residential property in the York Chester Historic District, which was approved. A third application for siding replacement involved discussion regarding material colors, resulting in a conditional approval requiring both vinyl and fiber cement siding to be painted the same color. A fourth application regarding the removal of an end chimney was also presented but did not yet meet the commission's request for additional engineering information.
